Charges of 53 Services Provided By Private Hospitals To Be Regulated From.Next Week

Prices  of 53 essential services provided
by Private Hospitals will be  regulated during next week according to the Ministry Of Health,Nutrition and Indeginous Medicine.

Health Minister Dr.Rajiha Senaratne Had instructed the Director General Of Health Services Dr.Anil Jasinghe to submit the final list of the regulated services soon and the list is due to be handed over to the Minister within next two days the Ministry has stated.

After handing over the list it will be gazetted soon Minster has stressed.

Among the Private Hospital Services that scheduled to be regulated are Child delivery charges ,Surgery and Medical Laboratory charges .

A Construction Worker Attached To Southern Expressway Was Killed Due To Motorcycle -Bowser Collision

A 33 year old Backo Machine operator
involved in Construction work at Kataragama extension of Southern Expressway was killed when the Motorcycle he was riding in colliding with a Bowser also involved in the construction work at Walsapugala ,Suriyawewa area near the Inter exchange of Southern Expressway last noon (22).

The deceased who was a resident of Kuda Maskeliya area and  returning to the construction site after lunch had faced the incident when the Bowser driven by a person not obtained a driving licence ran over his Motorcycle

The Bowser driver had left the vehicle  and fled away from the scene after the incident .

Suriyawewa Police are conducting further investigations over the incident. 

Two Youth Motorcyclists Were Killed Due To Motorcycle -Train Collision

Two youth Motorcyclists of the ages 22
and 23 years old were killed on the spot after the Motorcycle they were riding in colliding with a Jaffna-Colombo bound night mail Train last night (22)at Sangathanai area in Chavakachcheri,KilinochchI(Northern Province).

The incident occurred when the Motorcyclist attempted to across the Railway line through the unprotected Railway Crossing it has been revealed.

The bodies of the deceased had been sent to Chavakachcheri Hospital for post mortem .Chavakachcheri Police are conducting an investigations over the incident .

Cabinet Had Allocated Money For Renovation Work Of National Art Gallery

Cabinet has given approval to a

proposal to allocate Rs.42 million for an urgent renovation work of the National Arts Gallery (Kalabawana) in Colombo.

Minister Of Higher Education and Cultaral affairs Wijedasa Rajapakshe had submitted the Cabinet Proposal.

A LTTE Suspect Was Arrested While Hiding In A House In North

A LTTE suspect who hasn't undergone
the Government Rehabilitation programme was arrested  by the Police while hiding in a house at eighth lane in Shanthipuram  ,KilinochchI this morning (22).

The suspect is the sixth LTTE Suspect Arrested since last June after receiving an information from a LTTE Suspect Arrested With A Stock Of arms,LTTE Cloths and flags last June at oddusudan ,Mulathivu.

Terrorism Control Units of KilinochchI, Oddusudan and Mulathivu Police stations are  investigating on the incident.


A Female Was Arrested With Heroin Packettes

A 24 year old female was arrested by
the Police today (22)with around 57 Heroin Packettes in her possession at 95 watte area in Hulftsdorf .

The suspected female has hidden the Heroin Packettes in her under wear and they were recovered  by a group of Female Police officers checked her.

The estimated value of the stock of Heroin Packettes more than Rs.50,000 it has been revealed.

Keselwattte Police are investigating over the incident and the suspect is due to be produced before the court.

Governmemt Has Gazetted The Names Of 15 Newly Appointed Members Of Salary Anomalies Commission

Government has Gazetted the names of
the 15 newly appointed members representing the Salary Anomalies Commission it has been announced today (22).

So. Ranugge has been appointed as the chairman of the Commission and the priority work of the Commission will be looking in to the ways of removing Salary Anomalies of all Government workers and creating a reasonable salary structure for the workers .

The Commission is due to submit it's report to the Government within a two month period.

A Youth Parliament MP Was Arrested Over Raping Of A School Girl In North.

A 26 year old MP representing
Northern Province at the Youth Parliament attached to National Youth Services Council was arrested by the Pudukudiiruppu Police Over abducting and raping of a female  Advanced Level Student at Palai area on last Sunday (19).

The suspect who is resident of Palai area had abducted the girl who is sitting for the ongoing G.C.E Advanced Level Examination along with few others arrived in by a Van and Motorcycles on last Sunday while she was returning home after the examination it has been revealed.

The suspect had released the victim.on last Monday morning and the School.Girl who is a resident Of Mulathivu area had went home and complaint on the incident later to the  Police with her relatives.

The suspect is due to be produced before the xourtb

Four Persons Were Injured Due To A Road Accident

Four Persons Have been injured and
hospitalized after the Three Wheeler they were travelling in veering off the road and toppled over to a nearby Canal at Denzil Kobbakaduwa road in Hingurakgoda-Airport main road last night (21).

The injured were admitted to the Hingurakgoda Provincial Hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred when the driver of the Three Wheeler unable to control the speed of the vehicle .

Hingurakgoda Police are investigating on the incident.
