Three STF Camps Had Been Isolated

 Three Special Police Task Force (STF) Camps namely Kalubowila (Colombo South ),Rajagiriga and Kelaniya had been isolated from today (04)after identifying 23 STF Personal as  Corona positives according to Police Media Unit  

Up to now 179 police personal had been tested positive for Corona  virus  the jñmm

41 Police Officers. At Borella Police

 Another 41 police officers  attached to Borella Police had  been tested positive for Corona virus today (04)a accorrding to the National  Covid-19 Prevention  Center 

With these positives the total number of Police officers at Borella police station tested positive for Corona virus had risen to 59 the Center has stated .

All the close contacts of these positives are being self quarantined .

24th Corona Death Reported Today. (04)

 A 79 year old female who has died due to an illness caused by non communicable Diseases yesterday (03)had. Been tested positive for corona virus through the "PCR"Test conducted during her post mortem held today (04)it has been revealed

.

The deceased female who was a resident of Colombo -13 has died due to a heart attack after spending a month at her residence with complications now confirmed as caused due to the corona virus . 

This is the 24 th Corona Death of the country according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Meanwhile another 78 year old male resident of Colombo -13 reported as died yesterday (03)after admitting to Accident unit of the Colombo National hospital due to  head injuries caused by a fall had been also tested positive for corona virus .

Through. The  "PCR "Test performed on him during his post mortem held today it has been revealed that the deceased was a Corona positive .Although he was tested positive for Corona virus his death will not be considered as a Corona death as the person  has died due to injuries caused by a fall Epidemeology Unit has stated .

409. corona Positives Had Been Reported yesterday (04

 A total of 409 Corona positives had been. Reported yesterday (03)in the island increasing the total number of Corona positives reported upto last night ti 11,344. According to the Epidemeology Unit .

However with the 274 Corona positives reported this evening (05) the number of Corona infections in the country had risen to 7018 the unit has stated .

Accordingly out of the 409 Corona positives reported yesterday ,401  were close contacts of the members of Minuwangoda Brandix and Paliyagoda fish market clusters and 08 were  fro

 Kalutara District and 19 were from Fall district .

At the moment 6137 Corona Positives are being treated in government hospitals .
