A Sudden Fire Erupted In Brownsik Estate At Maskeliya Destroyed Ten Houses

Image result for fireAround 10 houses situated  in  Brownsik Estate at Maskeliya (In Up Country) have been destroyed due to a sudden fire erupted this noon according to the sources.

The Maskeliya Police and the residents of the area have managed to doused the fire which has erupted around 12 noon today(09).

No casualties have been reported according to Police.

According to the Industry Experts the Egg Shaped Blue Sapphire weighing 1,404.49 Carrots is a rare kind of stone and it's impossible to give an exact valuation for it.

Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe Has Presented A Resolution To The Parliament To Appoint A Constitutional Assembly

Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe has today(09) presented a Resolution to the Parliament to appoint a Constitutional Assembly for the purpose of formulating a new constitution for Sri Lanka.

The proposed new constitution will be replaced the current Constitution adapted in 1978 headed by an Executive President.The Constitutional Assembly which formulates  the new constitution consist of  all members of the Parliament according to Prime Minister.

A 28 Year Old Sri Lankan Youth Has Been Arrested At The Katunayake Air Port With Rs.2 Million Worth Undeclared Currency Notes

Image result for katunayake airportA 28 year old Sri Lankan youth has been arrested by Sri Lankan Custom Officers  early this morning at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Air Port when he attempted to carry a Rs.2 million worth undeclared local and foreign currency Notes  out of the country.

The suspect who resides in Slave Island has been arrested by the Sri Lankan Custom Officers when he trying to board a flight to Dubai  with undeclared currency notes concealed inside his baggage  around 4.45 a.m this morning.

Inside the suspect's baggage Custom Officers have found US Dollars,United Arab Emirates Dirham and Sri Lankan Rupees worth around Rs.2 million.

Colombo Municipal Council Has Taken Steps To Sue Organizers Of Enrique's Show In Colombo-Colombo Mayor

Image result for colombo municipal councilColombo Municipal Council has taken steps to sue the "Live Events "Company owned by Sri Lankan Criketers Mahela Jyawardene and Kumar Sangakkara which have organized the  Musical Show of Spanish Pop Singer Enrique Iglesias ,To recover an estimated Rs.30 million as entertainment tax which should be paid to the council the Mayor of Colombo A.J.M Muzammil has said today(09).

The Colombo Mayor has told the Agency France Presse(AFP) News Agency that the organizers of the one hour live show of Enrique conducted at CR and FC Grounds on 20th of December have even sold an invitations to the public to avoid paying taxes to the council and more tickets have been sold than the number which approved by the Municipal Council.


Some fans have paid up to Rs.50,000 to purchase a ticket for the show he has revealed."When tried to contact the Live Events company to resolve the unpaid tax matter learnt that company has sub contarcted it's work to another company and it seems they are having internal problems"Mayor Muzammil has said.

The Enrique's show in Colombo has draw widespread criticisms including from President Maithripala Sirisene after media reported a local female has thrown her underwear at the singer during the show.
