Informed The Authorities On Zahran In 2013 -Gnanasara Thero

General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena Organization Venerable Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thero Has today  (24)revealed he had informed the authorities on Chief bomber of the Easter Sunday bombings Mohommad Zahran Hashim in End of 2013 and even told to arrest him due to his behaviour.

However no one has taken steps to do anything regarding it and even taken steps to inform Unitrd Nations on the rising extremism in the country at that time Galagodaatte Their has statTed during a media briefing held in.Colombo today  (24).

Ready to give assistamce To President and re security forces  to  combat this extremism Thero Has further said .

Meanwhile Gnanasara Thero and his mother  Had met with President Sirisena at President's  official residence in Mahagama Sekara road last night to thank him for granting Presidential pardon .



Three Persons Had Been Killed And Three Others Injured Due To A Three Wheeler Collision

Three Persons Had been killed and
Three others had been critically injured and hospitalized  due to the collision of Two Three Wheelers at Wellawaya ,Uva-Kuda DiKoya area this noon (24).

The critically injured two females and a male had had been admitted to Thanamalwila Hospital and later transferred to Hambanthota Hospital for further treatment.

The deceased were residents of Ethiliwewa area and the injured are residing in Wellawaya it has been revealed .

Thanamalwila Police are conducting an investigations over the incident 

CID Had Suspended 41 Bank Accounts Belonging To Easter Sunday Bombing Suspects

Criminal Investigations Department
(CID)had suspended 41 bank accounts with Rs.134 million worth currency notes belonging to suspects who had been arrested over the Easter Sunday Bombings according to Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare .

Addressing a media briefing held in the Defense Ministry in.Colombo today (24)SP Gunasekare has stressed that CID is currently investigating in around Rs.7 billion worth assets of the Easter Sunday attack suspects who are under Police custody.

Up to now 89 suspects had been arrested over the Easter Sunday bombings and out of them 69 are under the custody of CID SP Gunasekare. 20 of those suspects are under the custody of Terrorism Investigations Division (TID).

A Hand Grenade Parcel Had Been Recovered From A Primary School in Baduraliya

A parcel containing 13 hand  Grenades
left near a building of a Primary school in Palinda nuwara,BaduaLiya   had been recovered last night  (23)by the Security Officer of the school.

Security officer of the primary school had informed on the incident to BaduaLiya Police and as a result Police officers along with Army Bomb Disposal  Squad had arrived in the scene and removed the hand Grenade parcel it has been reported .

Police have today (24)arrested a 32 year old person residing in Hadigalla area in BaduaLiya over leaving a Hand Grenade parcel inside a school.

The hand Grenades in the parcel had been defused by the Army Bomb Disposal unit accordance to order of Mathugama Magistrate Court  .

Authorities believes the hand Grenade parcel had left inside the primary school to create an unnecessary fear among the public in the area .

Prime Minister Had Requested Foreign Ambassadors To Lift The Travel Ban Imposed Against Sri Lanka As Security Has Been Ensured

Prime Minister Ranil Wilramasinghe
had requested the Foreign Ambassadors and High Commissioners in the country  to lift the Travel Ban imposed Against Sri Lanka by their respective governments following the Easter Sunday bombings as security in the country has been already assured and life has return to normalcy during a meeting held in Colombo today (24)..

During the Meeting Prime Minister Wikramasinghe  has briefed the Foreign Ambassadors and High Commissioners on the security situation of the country and the progress of ongoing investigations regarding the Easter Sunday attacks. 

Emergancy Law Extending Proposal Has Been Passed

The proposal to extend Emergancy
law from one month  has been passed by a majority of 14 votes in Parliament today (24).


During the voting 22 MP's have been voted in favour of the proposal Whilst 08 MP's of Tamil National Alliance had been voted against it .

MP's representing  leftist Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna (JVP)as well as prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe and Opposotion Leader Mahinda RAJAPAKSHE were absent during the voting .
