Three Persons Were Injured And Hospitalized Due To An Assault

Three persons were injured and Hospitalized after a group of persons

  attacking them while taking their meals in a hotel in Polattapitiya area on Colombo -Dambulla road yesterday (25).

The injured were admitted to the Kurunagala Teaching Hospital for treatment and one of them had been admitted to the intensive care unit of the hospital in critical condition it has been reported.

The assault had taken Place due to an argument between two factions it has been reported.

The attackers fled away from the area after the incident the Police have stated

Four persons who were transported 3.4 kilos of Kerala Cannabis by a three wheeler

 had been arrested during a  joint raid carried out by the Sri Lanka Navy personal and Police yesterday (25) in mattakkuliya area(Colombo) .

 Four suspects , the stock of Kerala Cannabis and the three wheeler used to transport the Cannabis had been handed over to the Mattakkuliya Police for further investigations .

A Person Has Died After Falling Down From A Kithul Tree

A 32 year old person has died  last night

(24) after falling down from a kithul tree in Dola Mawatha area at Akuressa(Southern Province).

The deceased  had fallen down while tapping toddy  it has been revealed.His body has been  sent to Matara Hospital.

Akuressa Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.

A 38 year old person was killed due to a wild elephant attack near the mawadioya river in karadiyanaru

 area in the wee hours of this morning (25).

The deceased had been identified as a resident of Karadiyanaru area.

A Person Was Arrested Over Making A Small Child To Consume Liquor In Okkampitiya

Police have today (25)arrested a 33 year

old person who forcibly made a two and half year old child to consume liquor in Dambayaya at Okkampitiya area.

The child has admitted to the Monaragala Hospital for treatment following the incident

The suspect who had been reported as a friend of the child's aunt is due to be produced before the Wellawaya Magistrate Court today(25).He is a resident of Okkampitiya area.
