Another Corona death had been reported in the country yesterday (26) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 558 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .
Accordingly a 70 year old male resided at Mathugama ,Kalutara has died due to Heart ailment and Covid Pneumonia caused by Corona infection at Homagama Base Hospital He had been transferred to the hospital from.Kalutara district hospital .
Few areas in Jaffna District had been locked down by the Health authorities after. Reporting 80 Corona positives from those areas the authorities have announced .
Accordingly few areas including a part of Jaffna -Kamkasanrhurei road ,Main bus stand ,Main Market and Hospital road had been locked down since yesterday/(26).
During Maha Sivarathri Celebrations held recently many people have seen attending celebrations held at Hindu kovils without adapting Anti Corona health guidelines .Some of the. Priests too had seen involved in religious activities without wearing a mask and distancing themselves .
A total of 260 Corona Positives had been reported today (26) and 271 positives had been reported. Yesterday (25) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far in the country to 91,561 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .
At the moment 2859 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and Quarantine Centers the Center has stated.
