A Person Was Arrested With Seven Grammes Of Heroin
Crimes Incestigations Division of
Matara Police have arrested a 43 year old person while transporting seven Grammes of Heroin in a Motorcyclist Car at Matara-Godagama entry of Southern Expressway last morning (21)..
Police have taken to custody the Motor Car of the suspect as well.
The suspect who is a resident of Matara had involved in a trade of transporting Heroin from kadawatha via Southern Expressway and distributing it in Matara it has been revealed.

A Police Constable Was Shot And Injured At Kataragama
A Police Constable attached to the
Intelligence unit of Tangalle Police was shot and injured by an unidentified group of gunmen arrived in Three Wheeler at Kataragama area last morning (21).
The Injured Police Constable was admitted to the Kataragama District Hospital for treatment and transferred to the Debarawewa hospital and later to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
The gun shooting incident occurred while the Constable was on the way to work it has been revealed.
However Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare has told yesterday that the Gun shooting incident occurred due to a personal conflict.

Fifty Three Tea Factories Identified As Mixing Sugar To Tea Powder
Fifty three Tea factories in the island
have been identified as illegally mixing sugar to Tea powder in aim of increasing weight of the Tea bags during an investigation held in this regard according to Minister Of Plantations Navin Dassanayake.
Minister has stated that he will hold talks with the Relevant Tea factory owners and advised theme to stop this action and if they are not responding positively to this request a stern action will be taken against them .
There's a threat of growing fungus in Tea powder as a result of mixing Sugar to it it has been revealed.

A Mother And Her Daughter Were Killed Due To A Vehicle Collison
A Mother and her Daughter were killed and Three others including a Three
Wheeler Driver were critically injured and hospitalized after the Three
Wheeler they were traveling in colliding with a parked vehicle near a road at
Ambagahavila Junction in Mapalagama area last night(20).
The five critically injured persons including two girls,two females and the Three Wheeler Driver were admitted to the Niyagama Rural Hospital and two females and two girls were later transferred to the Elpitiya Hospital where the Female and her daughter had succumbed to their injuries .
Pitigala Police have arrested the driver of the Parked vehicle regarding the accident.

President Sirisena To Leave Pakistan Tomorrow(22)
President Maithripala Sirisena is due to leave Pakistan tomorrow(22) for
a two day state visit as per an invitation extended by his Counterpart
Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain.
During his stay in Pakistan President Sirisena is due to participate the INDEPENDENCE DAY celebrations of Pakistan and hold bi lateral talks with Pakistan Government and scheduled to be signed few bilateral agreements between the two countries according to the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs.

The lawyers representing the imprisoned chief suspects of the Central Bank Bond Scam Arjun Aloysius and Kasun Palisena of Perpetual Treasuries had submitted a revised bail application behalf of their clients at Court Of Appeal today(21).
The revised bail application was filed seeking revision of the Court Order issued by Colombo Fort Magistrate to remand the two suspects and the Court Order issued by Colombo Magistrate refusing to revise the remand order it has been reported.
