Two Youths Were Injured And Hospitalized Due To An Assault
Jaffna Police have arrested three
persons believed to be members of the "Ava" and "Danurock groups operating in North over assaulting two youth in the street at Kokuwil west in Jaffna this afternoon(10).
The injured youth were admitted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital for treatment.
A group of five persons arrived in from three Motorcycles have assaulted the two youth who were walking in the road at that time.However Police Petrol officers who were in tbe street at that time managed to arrest three persons and a Motorcycle while in the road.

Army Soldier And Another Person Were Arrested Over Driving A Vehicle Under The Influence Of Liquor
Police have arrested an Army soldier
and another person over driving a vehicle under the influence of liquor by avoiding the police at the check point in Mahvilachchiya ,Anuradhapura last night(09).
Police have also taken into custody a stock of Lead and Cannabis in possession of the suspects who are residents of Mahavilachchiya and Kiripatiyawa areas.
The suspects are due to be produced before the court.

Electricity Supply Has Been Restored In Many Areas Hit By Power Failure Last Night
The power failure occurred in many areas including Galle,Matara ,Hambanthota and Ratnapura since last night (09) has been restored this morning(10) according to the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy.
The power failure occurred due to a breaking down of a two power extension lines from New Lakshapana Power grid to sub grid Balangoda area.

The suspect was handed over to the Davulagala Police station for further investigations on the incident.

Two Fishermen Who Had Gone For Fishing Have Been Found Missing
Two fishermen who had gone for
fishing from Thalaimannar area last friday (08) have been reported as missing according to the Thalaimannar Police.
The family members of the missing fishermen who are residents of Thalaimannar area and of the ages 38 and 33 years ,had complaint on them to the police.
Accordingly Sri Lanka Navy have launched a search operation to find them it has been reported.

Kerosene Oil Price To Be Reduced By Rs.31 From Tuesday
Accordingly the new price of a liter of Kerosene Oil will be Rs.70.The decision to reduce the Kerosene oil price has been taken as a result of protests made against the recent price hike of Kerosene.
Some Fisheries unions have decided to withdraw from fisheries activities from tomorrow(11)it has been revealed.
Due to these developments the decision has been taken to reduce Kerosene oil price after consulting with the Treassury according to State Minister.
