A team of officials attached to the Criminal Investigations Department(CID) have today(30) arrested a 26 year old person from Moratuwa who is the second suspect of hacking incident of president Maithripala Sirisena's official web site.
Earlier CID officers have yesterday(29) arrested a 17 year old School Boy from Kadugannawa area as a suspect for hacking president's official web site on last Thursday(25) and Friday(26).
The two suspects were arrested under the Computer Crimes Act of 2007 and if they proved guilty for the allegations will be fined Rs.300,000 and can sentenced up to three years in jail.
This is the first time that a school boy was arrested regarding a hacking of a web site in Sri Lanka the officials have stated.
