The Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera who is currently visiting United States Of America has said on Thursday(25) that he would like to consider the international participation to the investigations on alleged war crimes occurred during the final phase of war between Sri Lankan Army and LTTE Terrorists.The Sri Lankan Foreign Minister has told at the Washington think tank ,with the participation of International Judges for the proposed investigations on alleged war crimes some form of guarantee can be given to victims of war that the new courts will be delivered justice and accountability in fair manner .
However Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has recently said that Foreign Participation is not needed for an impartial inquiry on alleged war crimes set to be conducted through a local mechanism.
