One person was killed and a Foreign National got injured due to the Car they were travelling in veered off the Road and crashed against a Tree near a Fuel Station at Weligama Town on the Galle-Matara Main Road(In Southern Province) this morning.The Driver of the Car and a Foreign National rushed to the Walana Hospital with injuries and the Driver who was in critical condition at that time succumbed to his injuries upon admission to the Hospital according to Police. The deceased has been identified as a 42 year old resident of Paburana in Matara.
The injured Foreign National has been transferred to the Matara General Hospital for further treatment the Police have said.Weligama Police are conducting an investigation on the incident.
