The tax revenue of the government for this year has been increased by 22% when compared to last year by Rs.100 billion according to the Cabinet Media Spokesman MP Gayantha Karunathilake.
Accordingly tax income earned by excise and customs departments contributes more to the total tax revenue and their tax income increased by 22% and 40% respectively the Cabinet Spokesman has stated.
These facts were revealed during the Cabinet Press Briefing held at Government Information Department in Narahenpita this morning.
