Four persons in the same family have been drowned in the southern sea coast off Balapitiya(Southern Province) this evening while bathing there according to the Ahungalla police.The bodies of the two females including a school girl who were among the drowned victims have been recovered and two male victims still missing the Police have stated.
The Four victims who were sea bathing were suddenly dragged away into the sea by strong currents it has been reported.
