The former minister of economic development basil rajapakshe who was detained by financial crimes investigation division(FCID) this morning over a land issue has been released on bail this evening after produced before Matara Magistrate Court .The former minister who is the younger brother of former president mahinda rajapakshe has been released by Matara Magistrate on cash bail of Rs.50,000 and three personal bails of Rs.1 million each it has been reported.
Former Minister basil rajapakshe was ordered by the Matara Magistrate to appear before FCID every Sunday weekly.
FCID has detained former minister rajapakshe this morning after he gave a statement regarding the allegation leveled against him.
