Sri Lanka's Tourists Arrivals have risen by 22.8% from 192,841 Tourists withing the one year period March 2015 to March 2016 according to Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.The Tourist Arrivals have risen in that period mainly due to the increase in Chinese and Indian Tourist Arrivals to Sri Lanka the Bureau has stated.
The number of Chinese Tourist Arrivals reported in this March had shown an increase of 40% when compared to the arrivals of March last year and Indian Tourist Arrivals had shown an increase of 38.2% on this March compared to March last year it has been revealed.
The Tourist Arrivals from Western Europe and Britain too had been increased by 22.6%(69,972) and 32%(44,813) respectively on this March when compared to March last year Tourism Promotion Bureau has indicated.
