The former Chief Minister of Eastern Province Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan allias Pillayan who was arrested and remanded over the killing of former Tamil National Alliance(TNA) Parliamentarian Joseph Pararajasingham has been further remanded until 20th of April by the Batticloe (In Eastern Province) Magistrate today(06).The Batticloe Magistrate has today rejected the bail application filed behalf of the former Eastern Provincial Chief Minister Pillayan when the case against him was taken up it has been reported.
Pillayna was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department(CID) after recorded a statement from him regarding the killing of former TNA MP Joseph Pararajasingham on 2005.Later he was remanded after been produced before the court.
