The Ministry Of Health,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine has taken steps to fixed fair prices for 33 Laboratory Tests including Blood Tests performs at the Private Hospitals in Sri Lanka the Ministry has stated.The Ministry is currently examining the ways of fixing fair prices for several other Laboratory Tests and CT/X Ray Tests performs at Private Hospitals it has been revealed.
The Health Ministry has intervened to fix fair prices for Laboratory Tests conducted at Private Hospitals mainly due to the public complaints received by stating these hospitals are charging higher prices from Patients for these tests.
