Out of the 3800 Vacancies of Doctors prevailing in government hospitals island wide 1080 vacancies had been filled during this year up to now and rest of the vacancies scheduled to be filled by June according to Minister Of Health,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.During the process of filling doctor's vacancies at Government Hospitals island wide justice has done to all the hospitals and Ministry has not filled doctors vacancies according to the wishes of Government Medical Officers Association(GMOA) the Minister has stated .
Addressing a Provincial Health Minister's Summit held yesterday(25) at National Blood Bank Auditorium in Narahenpita, Minister Dr.Senararne has revealed that after filling all the health staff vacancies in government hospitals the Ministry Of Health will request from the Provincial Health Ministers to re open closed government hospitals in their provinces.
