Riot Police have fired tear gas and water canons to disperses a group of University students attached to the Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) who conducted an Anti SAITM Protest march near the Parliamentary Roundabout and Speaker's official House this noon (19).As a result of the firing of Tear Gas and water canons Kindergarten children and public had faced enormous difficulties it has been reported.The action came after the protesters have blocked the road from PARLIAMENTARY Roundabout to Rajagiriya by seated middle of the road according to reports.
Due to the protest march a heavy traffic congestion has been created in and around Borella area.
