The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has arrested the Joint Opposition MP for Kandy District Mahindananda Aluthgamage this morning on charges of money laundering after he arrived at CID headquarters to give a statement regarding the charges.The Former Sports Minister Aluthgamage had been arrested under the prevention of Money Laundering Act according to the Police.
The Arrested MP is due to produce before Colombo Magistrate this evening.
