The Cabinet Spokesman, Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Seneratne has today stated that under the current system it takes long time to fill the vacancies of Medical Consultants prevailing in Government Hospitals numbering 1164 and therefore Cabinet has decided to extend the compulsory retirement age of Medical Consultants in the Clinical Sector .
