Sri Lanka Navy Personal had today (16) detained 18 Sri Lankans who were on board of a deep sea fishing trawler which sailing towards Australia illegally at the seas of eastern Batticaloa.The detainees had boarded the trawler at Valachchena Area it has been revealed.
The Navy Personal had brought back the 18 detainees to Trincomalee Harbor and handed them over to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for further investigations on the incident.
