The Bribery Commission had today (16) filed a case against the former United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) MP Sajin Vaas Gunawardane at Colombo Magistrate Court over the charges of making Mihin Lanka Air Lines to pay Rs.883 million for illegal supply of ground equipment made by a Singaporean Company.
The former MP Sajin Vaas was charged by the Bribery Commission for illegally made a contract with a Singaporean Company to supply ground support equipment to Mihin Lanka Air Lines and making the Air Lines to pay the money for the supplier.
By considering these facts the magistrate court has today ordered the former MP to appear before court on 20th of August.
