The Airport Customs Officers have today(02) detained a 40 year old Sri Lankan female who had attempted to transport 225 Cigarette Cartons illegally to the country at the Katunayake .Bandaranaike International Airport.The stock of Cigarette Cartons was found inside the luggage of suspected female ,who is a resident in Maligawatte Area.
The value of the stock of Cigarettes detained is estimated as Rs.1.5 million.The Customs Officers are conducting further investigations on the incident.
