The right to information bill was passed in parliament this evening with amendments without a vote.The bill which was submitted to Parliament for the second reading yesterday(23) allow to get accurate information from public authorities on services .
The right to information bill was firstly submitted to Parliament on 24th of March this year for the first reading however the Supreme Court in May has declared that the certain clauses of the bill have violated the constitution and the bill needs two third majority in the parliament to become a law.
The government thereafter appointed a committee to study the clauses which violated the constitution and introduced amendments to the draft bill.
