The Authorities are due to pay compensation for people who lost their houses and property as a result of Salawa Army Camp fire from next Tuesday(14) according to Colombo District Secretariat .According to the estimates 654 houses were damaged due to the fire and some houses were completely destroyed.
The estimating of value of the damage caused to Houses and Properties due to Salawa Army Camp Fire is sue to complete tomorrow(12).The owners of the damaged houses in Salawa Area are due to receive Rs.50,000 each for a three month period as a compensation it has been reported.
