The Government Medical Officers Association(GMOA) has today(29) urged the government to replace the Minister of Health,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne with another politician or stated President Maithripala Sirisena should take over the Ministry Of Health .GMOA'S suggestion came after Minister Dr,Senaratne's announcement that the Health Ministry will not allow GMOA to take decisions in future on internship appointments of Doctors as in recent past.
GMOA is a legitimate partner in transfer procedures of Health Ministry and interference of Minister and his family for the procedure is an unethical and unacceptable GMOA has announced.
