The Government has today(29) declared around 99 persons reported as missing due to the landslides occurred at Central Province one and half weeks ago as dead as the authorities involved in search operations failed to trace a sign of life under the heavy mud in landslide sites.Around 67 bodies had been recovered and 99 persons reported as missing due to a landslide occurred at Aranayake area in Kegalle District (Central Province) one and half weeks ago following heavy showers.
Around 37 persons were killed as a result of floods occurred in many parts of the country during last two weeks the Disaster Management Center has announced.
