The six firearms including a T-56 Assault Rifle and five revolvers stolen from the Laggala(In Central Province) Police Station on last Thursday(14) have been found this morning hidden near a water tank of a temple in Laggala according to the Police.According to a information received by the Laggala Police Station Officers this morning they have found the stock of firearms stolen from the police station ,hidden near a water tank belonging to the Sandagala Temple in Wellewela it has been reported.
The police believed the individual who had stolen these firearms from Laggala Police station may have left them behind the temple premises.
Three Police Officers who were in duty at the Laggala Police Station during the firearm robbery had temporarily interdicted yesterday by the police department.
