The Police have yesterday(15) arrested a person who is alleged to have misappropriated a sum of Rs.1.6 million(1,658,384) at Medayaya in Mahiyanganaya(In Uva Province) Area.The suspect was in hiding at Mapakadawewa in Medayaya area when the arrest was made and is due to handover to the Paliyagoda Special Crimes Investigations Unit for further investigations on the large scale financial fraud he had committed.
