A female was killed and her husband has critically injured and hospitalized due to the lorry they were travelling in veered off the road and crashed into a tree at Kaththapahuwa Area on Anuradhapura-Mahawa Road today(16).The 39 year old deceased female was succumbed to her injuries after getting admitted to Kurunagala Teaching Hospital and her husband the lorry driver is currently receiving treatment at the same hospital it has been reported.
The accident has occurred due to the driver fallen sleep at the wheel the Police have stated.
