The Criminal Investigations Department(CID) has today(20) arrested the former Crimes OIC of Narahenpita Police Station Sumith Perera over allegedly hiding the evidence regarding murder of Former Sri lankan Rugby Player Wasim Thajudeen according to the Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekare.The former Crimes OIC of the Narahenpita Police was arrested by a team of Officers attached to CID few hours ago ASP Gunasekare has stated.
The Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Pieris had instructed the CID recently to conduct investigations as soon as possible on the death of former Sri Lankan Rugby Player Thajudeen who found dead inside his car on 17th of May 2012 at kirulapona(In Colombo).
