The Batticloe Magistrate Court has today(20) further remanded the former Chief Minister of Eastern Province Sivanasathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan until 04th of May over the killing of former MP attached to Tamil National Alliance(TNA) Joseph Pararajasingham.The bail application filed on behalf of the former chief minister pillayan by his lawyers was rejected by Batticloe Magistrate when the case against him taken up today.
Pillayan was arrested by Criminal Investigations Department(CID) Officials on 11th of October 2015 after recorded a statement from him over the killing of former MP Pararajasingham who was murdered at Saint Mary's Church in Batticloe on Christmas eve in 2005.
