The Police have used Tear Gas and Water Canons to disperse a large number of University students who were conducted a protest march towards the President's House at Fort Area this evening.The group of University Students representing all the Universities in the island had conducted a protest march towards President's House from Kelaniya Univnersity this evening by opposing Malabe Private Medical Collage.
Due to this protest march a heavy traffic has been reported from roads in Colombo ranging Dematagoda to Town Hall and surrounding areas which lasted few hours.
The Inter University Students Federation has organized this protest march.
