An underworld figure "Dematagoda Chaminda" had been injured and hospitalized this evening following a Gunfire Shooting at Prison Bus which carried several prisoners including the above mentioned. The injured "Dematagoda Chaminda" and several other prisoners were taken to Welikada Prison from the Court when an unidentified Gunman opened fire at the Prison Bus according to the Police.
The injured was admitted to Colombo National Hospital for treatment."Dematagoda Chaminda" is known as one of the accused in assassination of former Presidential Adviser Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra who was the father of MP Hirunika Premachandre,
