The riot police has used tear gas and water cannons to disperse a protest march conducted by the Combined Union of Unemployed Graduates near Lotus Roundabout in Colombo short while ago.The Unemployed Graduates Union has organized this protest march by demanding the government to fill the vacancies of Government Sector through an unemployed graduates.The protest march has commenced from Technical Collage Junction in Maradana(In Colombo) and on the way to Prime Minister's Office to hand over a letter regarding their demand when the police dispersed the protest.
Due to the teat gas used by riot police to disperse the unemployed graduates protest march two journalists who were there at that time to cover the march have been injured and hospitalized according to reports.
