President Maithripala Sirisena has said today(17) he has been invited for an official visit to Germany ,The first for a Sri Lankan Head Of State after more than four decades.This is the first time the German Government has officially invited a Sri Lankan Head Of State to visit their country after 43 years the President has stated.
There is a competition among the International Community to help the development activities in Sri Lanka and the Middle Path and the better governance which Sri Lanka has adapted in their foreign policy is the main cause for this Sri Lankan President has stressed.
With the help of friendly countries the Government will make 2016 as a year of Transformation Development of Sri Lanka President Sirisena has made these remarks after ceremonially commencing the Five Year District Development Programme "Pibidemu Polonnaruwa"(In North Central Province) today(17).
