The preliminary Inquiries regarding the large scale fraud and corruption occurred at Lanka Sathosa Limited while importing rice during the previous regime have been completed according to Presidential Commission Of Inquiry Probing Large Scale Fraud And Corruption.The Commission has uncovered through the inquiries that fraud and corruption amounting Millions Of Rupees had occurred when importing rice stocks during the Previous regime through Sathosa and the importing of rice has been done without following proper procedures.
During the inquiries 400,000 Kilo Grammes of Rice which unsuitable for consumption have been found while stored at several Ware Houses attached to Sathosa.
So far around Six Top Sathosa Officials have been removed from their posts regarding the fraud and Corruption occurred at Sathosa while importing Rice Stocks according to reports.
