Few hours after assuring the Bakery Products will not be increased ,The Bakery Owners Association has now says the price of a Loaf Of Bread weighing 450 Grammes will be increased by Rs.1 with effect from midnight tomorrow(13).Accordingly the new price of a Loaf Of Bread after midnight tomorrow will be Rs.55 the Bakery Owners Association has said.
The Bakery Owners Association is due to conduct an urgent meeting tomorrow to discuss their decision of increasing the price of a loaf of bread.
Meanwhile the Consumer Affairs Authority has said as Bread is not declared as an essential item the authority cannot control the price of bread.
