"There's no problem in the drinking water that supplying to Colombo and Suburb Areas and therefor the residents in those areas should not get panic on the drinking water supply" The National Water Supply And Drainage Board has said today(29).Due to the water in Kelaniya River contaminated with Oil the Water Board has suspended the drinking water supply to three municipal council areas in Colombo yesterday(28) for two hours.However the Water Board has managed to bring back the water supply to normalcy after two hours the board has stressed.
The Water Board will not supply oil contaminated water for the public and there for no need to panic on the situation the Board has further said.
