Electcricity Board Submitted The Cabinet Decision On Increeasing Electricity Bill To Utilities Commission For Approval

 Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has submitted the Cabinet decision made regarding  the increase of Electricity Bill to  the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) for approval the Board has announced.

Although Cabinet has approved the increase of Electricity Bill no order has been received to implementing the decision    the CEB has stated .

Meanwhile  the  Public Utilities Commission has stated that it is studying the data submitted by the CEB regarding the increase of Electricity Bills and will make a decision on this after making necessary amendments to the proposal if required by consulting the CEB Officials it has been announced.Ceylon Electricity Board is scheduled to be announced the implementation of the Electricity Bill increase based on the recommendations and orders make by the Public Utilities Commission ,

Ministry Of Health Issued Anti Covid Rules For Foreign Travleers

 

The Ministry Of Health has again issued Anti-Covid rules  for  the foreign travelers arriving in Sri Lanka to avoid spreading the disease in the country .Accordingly all foreign travelers need to produce the Digital Covid Vaccination Card to the Airport else a negative PCR Test report the Ministry has announced.

These Anti Covid Rules are due to be implemented with effect from today (14).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Number Of Wild Elephants Killed Due To Yesterday's Train Accident Risen To Three

 The two Wild Elephants who had been injured after colliding with a speeding Train traveled from Batticaloa to Colombo had succumbed to their injuries increasing the total number of Wild Elephants who had died due to the accident to three .

The three Wild Elephants were killed after colliding with the Intercity Train   between Galoya and Hathraskotuwa Train stations  and the Train Engine and two carriages of the Train had been derailed as the result of  it  Sri Lanka Railways has announced,The disrupted train services between  Colombo Fort -Batticaloa railway line has been resumed last evening .No action has been taken against those responsible for this incident it has been revealed .
