Transport activities in Upcountry railway line have come to a standstill due to the falling of soil mounds to the several areas of the railway line accordance to the Sri Lanka Railways Department .
Accordingly transport activities between Diyathalawa-Bandarawela Railway line and Ohiya-Idlagashinna railway line are being disrupted due to this situation .More soil mound collapses had been reported from above mentioned railway stations few hours ago .Railway employees and officials had managed to remove soil mounds and rocks fallen to Diythalawa-Bandarawela Railways line it has been reported .

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO) had increased the prices of a liter of widely used Auto diesel and Kerosene oil by Rs.15 and Rs.25 respectively with effect from midnight last night (11) .
With this price increase the new price of a Liter of Auto Diesel will be Rs.430 and a Liter of Kerosene Oil is Rs.365.Earlier government has announced both Auto Diesel and Kerosene oil are being sold at a loss .
Meanwhile Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC ) too had announced they have increased the prices of Auto diesel and Kerosene oil by the same price as Ceypetco with effect from midnight tonight .
An eight and half hour long water cut is scheduled to be implemented in Paliyagoda ,Wattala areas and in surrounding areas at Gampaha District (Western province) from 8.30 a.m tomorrow (13) according to National Water Supplies and Drainage Board (NWSDB).
Accordingly this water cut will be imposed in Paliyagoda,Wattala,Ja-Ela ,Katunayake ,Seeduwa Urban Council area ,Kelaniya ,Biyagama,Mahara ,Dompe ,Katana ,Minuwangoda local government council area and Gamapaha Local government council area due to the halting of water supply to Biyagama water refinery as a result of the power cut implemented in Sapugaskande area.

demanding the release of two detained activists of Inter University
Students Federation (IUSF) at Kalutara Bridge
The detained females had participated the protest march by holding placards with the photos of detained convener of the Inter University Students Federation Wasantha Mudalige and convener of Inter University Bhikku Federation Venerable Galwewa Siridhamma thero and demanding their release .Police officers had made several attempts to turned away the protest march but they have failed to do so it has been reported ,
Police have later released the five detainees on Police bail .
