A Stock Of Explosives Including 08 Claymore Mines Had Been Recovered In Mulathivu
Police have recovered a stock of
Explosives including 08 Claymore Bombs and 50 Deternators buried at a cultivation land at Sugandhipuram area in Pudukudiiruppu ,Mulathivu today (29).
The land owners had found the stock of Explosives when preparing the land and informed on it to the Police Emergancy Line.
Police have later removed the stock of Explosives from the pit and due to obtain a court order from Mulathivu Magistrate Court to defuse them .

Four Police Officers Of Hakmana Police Interdicted
Four Police officers attached to the
Hakmzna Police had been interdicted over the charges neglect of duties it had been reported .
These Police officers had been interdicted over not arresting the suspects responsible for two brawl incidents occurred in Kirinda area recently.
Matara Police officials have investigated over the Brawl incidents at Kirinda and arrested three suspects regArding the incidents .
Two out of the three suspects who were arrested had been remanded until 10th of October after being produced before Matara Magistrate Court.

A Poison Has Been Detected In The Bodies Of Seven Deceased Female Elephants
Sone kind of Poison has been detected
in the bodies of the seven deceased Female Elephants recovered from Thunbikulama. Reserve at Hiriwadunna, Habarana according to the Veterinary Surgeon Chandana Jayasinghe .
Although pist mortums of the deceased Elephants had been concluded, Further investigations needEd to be carried out to confirm the poisoning he has stressed. However there are no sufficient evidence to prove that the poisoning caused by the food provided by someone to the deceased female Wild Elephants Dr.Jayasinghe has stated.
The Joint search mission to find out whether there are more deceased Elephants in the Thunbikulama reserve is currently underway according to reports .
Meanwhile State Minister of Wild Life Ranjith Aluwihare has stated that the government will take responsibility of the mysterious deaths of seven female Elephants. However the exact cause behind these deaths has not yet been revealed.
The body parts of the deceased Female Elephants had been sent to the Government Analyst for further investigations.
Enviornmental Organization's had appealed the government to impose severe punishment over those who had found responsible for this crime .
