A Poison Has Been Detected In The Bodies Of Seven Deceased Female Elephants

Sone kind of Poison has been detected
in the bodies of the seven deceased Female Elephants recovered from Thunbikulama. Reserve at Hiriwadunna, Habarana according to the Veterinary Surgeon Chandana Jayasinghe .

Although pist mortums of the deceased Elephants had been concluded,  Further investigations needEd to be carried out to confirm the poisoning he has stressed. However there are no sufficient evidence to prove that the poisoning caused by the food provided by someone to the deceased female Wild Elephants Dr.Jayasinghe has stated.

The Joint search mission to  find out whether there are more deceased Elephants in the Thunbikulama reserve is currently underway according to reports .

Meanwhile State Minister of Wild Life Ranjith Aluwihare has stated that the government will take responsibility of the mysterious deaths of seven female Elephants. However the exact cause behind these deaths has not yet been revealed.

The body parts of the deceased Female Elephants had been sent to the Government Analyst for further investigations.

Enviornmental Organization's had appealed the government to impose severe punishment over those who had found  responsible for this crime .
