Bribery Commission Has Detained OIC Of Mount Lavinia Police While Accepting Rs.20,000 From A Female
The detained OIC had demanded the female who is a resident in Kalubowila a sum of Rs.100,000 to arrest an individual it has been reported.The Bribery Commission Officials have detained the OIC while accepting Rs.20,000 out of the demanded sum of money.
Five In The Same School Detained And Remanded Over Molesting A School Girl And Helping The Molestation
The School Girl who had faced sexual harassment from 46 year old Science Teacher of the School had informed it to her friends and they have informed it to the School's Vice Principal and two female teachers of the School but they have covered the incident without taking an action against the accused teacher it has been revealed.
Afterwards the School Girl had informed her parents regarding the molesting incidents and although the parents confronted with school principal over the incident principal has not taken any action against the accused.As principal not taken any action against the accused teacher ,girl's parents were lodged a complaint on the incident at Child Protection Authority and accordingly the Police have detained the accused Teacher along with school principal,vice principal and two female teachers for covering the incident.
After considering the facts against them the Chavakachehcri Magistrate Court has remanded them until 01st of July.
Colombo High Court Granted Bail To Former Additional Magistrate Thilina Gamage Over Keeping An Elephant Calf In His Possession Ilegally
The former Additional Magistrate has appeared before Court following a revised application filed by Colombo High Court under the advise of Attorney General by seeking to annul the Nugegoda Magistrate's bail order on the former Magistrate.
Thilina Gamage who was surrendered to the Nugegoda Magistrate Court on 02nd of June over the charges of keeping an elephant calf ilegally in his possession was granted bail by Magistrate on the same day.

Section Of Eppawela Phosphate Factory Building Has Been Destroyed Due To A Fire
A section of the building at Eppawela Phosphate Factory has been destroyed this morning due to a sudden fire erupted on the building it has been reported.Several files related to a bribery case too were destroyed due to the fire the reports have stated.
The fire had destroyed the section which allocated for supply,documenting and accounting divisions and it has been estimated that the value of the damage done due to the fire will be around Rs.5 million.
Meanwhile the authorities of Eppawela Phosphate Factory have stated that cause of the fire has not yet revealed and ruled out the possibility of an act of conspiracy behind it.
