Senior Oncologists Heavily Criticized The Heads Of Drug Regulatory Authority For Not Registering Cancer Drugs

Senior Members of the College Of Oncologists have heavily criticized the heads of the newly formed Independent Drug Regulatory Authority for not taken steps to register Cancer Drugs to import next year during a meeting held at the Health Ministry Auditorium on Wednesday(09) according to sources.

The Oncologists have criticized the two professors who are the heads of the Independent Drug  Regulatory Authority the sources have added.One of the senior Oncologists who examines around 5000 Cancer Patients per year has told the gathering that due to not registering Cancer Drugs patients will face enormous difficulties in future.

The Independent Drug Regulatory Authority was set up on 01st Of July this year under the National Drug Policy Act and it has not been able to function properly due to the absence of regulations.

Former DIG Vaas Gunawardene And Five Others Who Were Sentenced To Death Have Appealed against the Sentence

The former Deputy Inspector General Of Police Vaas Gunawardene and Five  Others who were sentenced to death recently in connection with a murder of a Businessman in Colombo have today(10) appealed against the sentence.

The appeal has been filed at Colombo High Court  today(10) by their lawyers.

One Person Died,Twenty Two Injured Due To A Bus-Lorry Collision At Padiyathalawa

One Person has died and Twenty Two others have injured and Hospitalized due To a Ceylon Transport Board (CTB)Bus-Lorry Collision occurred at Padiyathalawa this evening.

Padiyathalawa Police are conducting investigation on the incident .

Sri Lankan Government Is Planning To Sign "CEPA" Agreement With India Under A Different Name-Government Medical Officers Association(GMOA)

Although the Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe has assured that  Sri Lankan Government will not sign CEPA Agreement with Indian Government ,There is a plan to change the content of the original CEPA Agreement and signing it under a different name as"Trade And Technology Agreement " the Government Medical Officers Association(GMOA) has said today(10).

According to GMOA there's a threat of bringing unskilled Indian Doctors here under the new agreement.

By responding to the criticisms made by Prime Minister Wikramasinghe at the Parliament yesterday(09) against GMOA ,the secretary of the Union Dr.Herath has said during a press briefing held in Colombo today(10), GMOA will not going to market for Rajapakshe's or Wikramsinghe's and it only going to the market behalf of Union's Members.The Union is not a Political Organization he has said.

Sri Lanka To Sign An International Convention For Protection Of All Persons From Enforced Disappearance

Image result for international convention for protection of all persons from enforced disappearanceSri Lankan Government has decided to sign an International Convention For Protection Of All Persons From Enforced  Disappearance according to Minister Of Foreign Affairs Mangala Samaraweera.

The Cabinet has approved the Signing of the International Convention Foreign Minister has informed the Parliament today(10).

Under the Convention no Person shall be subjected to  be Disappeared  enforcingly  and if such disappearance has occurred can act against it according to law by considering it as a crime that violating human rights .

Already 94 Countries have been signed the convention .
