Sri Lankan Flight Arrived From London Made An Urgant Landing At Mattala International Air Port

A Sri Lankan Flight arrived from London carrying 244 Passengers on board was Diverted and made an urgent  landing  to newly built Mattala ,Mahinda Rajapakshe International Air Port (In Southern Province)this evening due to the bad weather conditions  prevails in Colombo at that time it has been reported.

The Sri Lankan Flight UL 504  expected to fly it's original destination the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Air Port later today.

Most Opposition Politicians in the country had blamed former president mahinda rajapakshe in recent years for building Mattala Mahinda Rjapakshe International Air Port which built with Chinese Aid but running without any planes.

Former Minister And Two Former Secretaries Have Been Questioned By Presidential Commission Of Inquiry

Former Finance Secretary Dr.P.B Jayasundare ,Former Presidential Secretary Lalith Wijeratne and Former Minister MP Keheliya Rambukwella have been questioned by the Presidential Commission Of Inquiry today(16) over Rs.200 million in loss  incurred by a state media institute during the Presidential Election.

The Presidential Commission which appointed to investigate on serious acts of    fraud,corruption,abuse of state resources ,power  and privileges for questioning has investigating a complaint alleged a state media institution has incurred a loss amounting Rs.200 million due to the broadcasting of former president Mahinda Rajapakshe 's advertisements without payments and refraining to broadcast President Maithripala Sirisene's paid advertisements during the presidential election.

IGP Has Handed Over The Investigations On Five Year Old Girl's Death To CID

The Police have today (16)handed over the investigations on  the murder case of five year old girl in Kotadeniyawa ,Divulapitiya(In Western Province)area to the Criminal Investigations Department(CID) with immediate effect.

The Inspector General Of Police(IGP) N.K Ilangakoon has today ordered the CID to take over the investigations on child's murder case as Kotadeniyawa Police which investigating on the murder still not been able find any suspect or positive clues regarding the case.

The body of the five year old Seya Sadewmini who had been s sexually molested and strangled to death was found inside a canal near her house on last Sunday a day after she was reported as missing.

Colombo Public Health Department To File Court Cases Against 103 Premises In Colombo City For Breeding Dengue Mosquitoes


The Colombo Public Health Department has decided to file court cases against 103 Premises situated within the Colombo City which have identified as maintaining dengue mosquito breeding places  according to the Chief Medical Officer in Colombo Dr.Ruwan Wijemuni.These premises with dengue mosquito breeding places have been identified  during the first four days of National Mosquito Control Weak commenced on last Thursday(10).

Out of these 103 premises the Colombo Public Health Department has already filed court cases against 48 premises at the Maligakanda(In Colombo) Magistrate Court  and rest to follow during this week Dr.Wijemuni has said.

 Most of the dengue patients in Colombo are reporting from Borella and Eastern Colombo Areas he has stressed.
