Fourteen Persons had been seriously injured and hospitalized after
the Lorry they were traveling in which transported vegetables to the
Nuwara Eliya economic center ,had veered off the road and fallen into
a 70 feet deep precipice yesterday (05) .
The injured were admitted to the Nuwara Eliya District General hospital for treatment .The incident occurred near the Labukale Tea factory at Nuwara Eliya-Gampola main road and five of the injured are in critical condition, it has been reported .
The accident occurred due to the high speed of the lorry according to the Nuwara Eliya Police.
