Health Minister Had Announced The Price Increase Of 60 Essential Drugs
Minister of Health Professor Channa Jayasuman had issued an extra ordinary Gazette Notification announcing the Price increase of 60 Essential Drugs by 40 percent .
Due to this Price increase Prices of many of the Essential drugs in the market will be increased heavily according to health circles. This is the second time that the Health Minister has allowed the Private Pharmacy owners to increase drug prices in recent weeks .
Although Prices had been increased ,Many essential drugs including those Prescribed for Heart ailments ,Kidney diseases and Cancers are out of stock in Pharmacies these days it has been reported .

No Power Cuts On 01st And 03rd Of May
There will be no more power cuts on 01st of May and 03rd of May due to the public holidays according to Public Utilities Commission .
Power cuts will be not implemented in these days due to the International labor day and Ramazan holiday the Commission had stated .However there will be 03 hours and 20 minutes long power cut scheduled to be implemented on next Monday it has been announced .
President Rajapakshe Had Agreed To Form An Interim Government -Former President Maithripala Sirisena
President Gotabaya Rajapakshe had agreed to form an Interim Government with the participation of all parties under a new prime minister Former President and the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Maithripala Sirisena has today (29) stated .
The number of Cabinet Ministers in the Interim Government will be 15-20 members and they along with the prime minister will be selected by a National Council comprising of all party leaders the former President has stressed ,
President Rajapakshe had revealed this during the talks held with a delegation lead by former president Maithripala Sirisena it has been reported .
Monday Was Declared As A Public Holiday
Government has declared this coming Monday (02) as a Public holiday as the 01st of May or May day falls on this Sunday (01).

Litro Gas To Cut The Daily Gas Supply By 50 Percent
Until the Country return to normalcy from the current economic crisis Litro Gas Company had decided to cut off the Gas supply by 50 percent according to the Chairman of the Company Vijith Herath ,
Accordingly the daily Gas supply will be reduced to 30,000 Cylinders per day from 60,000 -80,000 Gas cylinders per day supplied earlier he has stated .
As the authorities do not have US Dollars 30 million to purchase the monthly requirement of Gas Cylinders public should have switched in to alternative methods until the current situation return to normalcy the Litro chairman has stressed .

Colombo Magistrate Refused To Issue A Court Order Against A Protest Near Temple Trees
Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kakunawela had today (25) refused a request made by Colpetty Police to issue an interim court order to remove a group of protesters who were protested in front of Prime Minister's official residence "Temple Trees " In Colpetty (Colombo ) this evening .
Colombo Additional Magistrate had informed the Colpetty Police that the Court cannot issue an interim court order preventing a Protest without knowing the organizers of the Protest and advised the Police to use Police powers to disperse it if the Protest is being conducted in harmful manner ..

Although not supplying sufficient amount of Gas Cylinders these days for domestic use ,Litro Gas Company had this evening (22) announced that the company is increasing the price of the 12.5 KG Gas Cylinder by Rs.2500 to Rs,5175 with effect from midnight tonight .
The Prices of other varieties of Gas Cylinders too will be increased accordingly the Gas Company has stated .
However within few hours after the announcement made by the Litro Gas Company regarding the price hike ,Government has reversed the decision by canceling the price hike of Gas cylinders ,The cancellation came after Prime Minister had instructed the authorities to submit a Proposal on increasing the Gas Prices to the Cabinet and getting approval .
