Millions of Government ,Semi Government and Private sector employees had today (28) launched an Island Wide token strike demanding the Government headed by President and Prime Minister to resign.
Due to this strike organized by around 1000 trade unions representing various fields including Transport ,health ,ports ,Postal ,Fisheries ,University ,Education and Agriculture sectors many services have paralyzed which caused inconvenience to the public it has been reported .
Thousands of Employees who had launched strike today protested on roads and marched towards the Galle face green where the major protests is being held urging government to resign ,
